I like the moment when a good question changes what I thought I knew. That’s one reason I study Statistical Science and Public Policy at Duke. A model can show a pattern, but understanding why it matters means listening to people, testing assumptions, and being willing to change your mind.
I’m drawn to work where I can follow a question beyond the analysis, to learn how a business works, understand its customers, and help decide what to build or do next. That’s what interests me about strategy, product, and investing. I want a career that gives me room to learn quickly, make sound judgments, and stay close to the people affected by those decisions. Outside the classroom, I’ve led my sorority, performed with Duke Chinese Theater, and competed in taekwondo. Those experiences have made me more comfortable taking responsibility, trying something unfamiliar, and being seen while I’m still learning.
I’m glad I did.
